1985-1987

Bumper: On a light blue-black gradient background, the video being advertised is shown on the lefthand side of the screen, with "Available on video from RCA/Columbia Pictures Video" to its right.

Variant: On releases from Hi-Pressure Video, we see the yellow words, "AVAILABLE FROM HI-PRESSURE VIDEO" in a Marker Felt font. Below that are the black words, "DISTRIBUTED BY" in the same font, above the RCA/Columbia International logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The trailer audio.

Availability: Ultra rare. This was a rather short-lived slide, but it can be found on certain RCA/Columbia UK rental tapes from the era, such as Iron Eagle.

1990-1992

Bumper: On a colored, or white, background, we see a cover for the video being advertised, usually slanted slightly, and around it usually appears to be the price for the retail video, along with a disclaimer for the film that is now available to buy from all good video stores.

Variants: A wide variety of variants exist for various film titles. Here are some examples:

  • Who's Harry Crumb? has the video on the top left of a grey-white gradient BG, with the price of "£9.99" at the top right in a Futura font and the words "THIS FILM IS NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY OR RENT FROM ALL GOOD VIDEO RETAILERS." scrolling from right to left in the same font.
  • Red Heat has the video in the center of a white BG, and the price of "£9.99" in a black font to the right of the video. The black words "Now available to buy or rent at all good video stockists." scroll from right to left in the same font.
  • The Adventures of Baron Munchausen has the video in the middle of a plain white BG, with the price of "£9.99" in a black Times font at the top right of the screen. The black words "NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY OR RENT FROM ALL GOOD VIDEO RETAILERS", in the same font, scroll from right to left.
  • See No Evil, Hear No Evil has the large video on a blue-white gradient BG. To the right of it is the price of "£9.99" in a bold white font.
  • My Stepmother Is an Alien has the video in the middle of a plain white BG. The price of "£9.99" is to the top right of it, in a black Arial font, and the following words "NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY OR RENT FROM ALL GOOD VIDEO STOCKISTS", in the same font, scroll from right to left.
  • A special variant exists for Ghostbusters II, which has its video the left of a white BG, and the black Arial text ""GHOSTBUSTERS" AND "GHOSTBUSTERS II" ON ONE TAPE! SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION ONLY £14.99". Below all this, the text in the same font and color, ""GHOSTBUSTERS" AND "GHOSTBUSTERS 2" AVAILABLE IN NOVEMBER 1990 ON THE ONE VIDEOCASSETTE FOR ONLY £14.99 ... ORDER YOUR COPY NOW WHILE STOCKS LAST!" scroll from right to left.
  • Steel Magnolias has the video on the top left on a black-pink gradient BG. The bold text "AVAILABLE TO BUY FROM ALL GOOD VIDEO RETAILERS FROM 30th SEPTEMBER 1991" scrolls from right to left, whilst the text "RESERVE YOUR COPY NOW!" fades in on the right of the video in the same font.
  • Glory features the video on a dark-light red gradient BG, with the white Futura words "ON SALE NOW RRP £10.99" to the left of the video, and the words "FROM ALL GOOD VIDEO RETAILERS" below that.
  • The Kiss, Revenge and Hellbound: Hellraiser II have the video on the left of a still from the film, tinted red, with the words "R.R.P. £10.99" in a bold, white Futura font next to the video. The words "NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY FROM ALL GOOD VIDEO RETAILERS" scroll below the video from right to left, but slowly fade out before it completely scrolls past.

FX/SFX: The "NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY" text scrolling.

Music/Sounds: Usually, none, but rarely, the trailer's opening audio will play as this bumper fades out.

Availability: Seen on many retail and rental tapes in the UK from 20/20 Vision and RCA/Columbia Pictures International Video.
