January 11, 2000 (Buena Vista Home Video)[]

Visuals: On a black background, we see various poses of Inspector Gadget. Above it we see clip-ons in yellow with a red outline.

Clip-ons:

  • Coming Soon to Own on Video and DVD
  • Now Available to Own on Video and DVD
  • Now Available to Own on Video
  • Feature Program

Technique: The first three clip-ons are digital graphics with fading effects. The "Feature Program" clip-on uses digital ink and paint animation.

Audio: The 1983 Inspector Gadget intro music and Brian Cummings saying the on-screen text.

Audio Variant: On the “Feature Program” clip-on, Cummings cheerfully exclaims, “And now, our feature program!”

Availability: Extremely rare. This appears only on the 2000 VHS of Gadget's Greatest Gadgets.

August 28, 2001 (Halloween) (Walt Disney Home Entertainment)[]

Visuals: On an orange background, we see various Halloween creatures (a witch, cat, jack-o-lantern or ghost) with one of the following clip-ons in a Halloween-like font transitioning onto the screen.

Clip-ons:

  • Coming Soon to Own on Video and DVD
  • Coming Soon to Own on Video
  • Now Available to Own on Video
  • Feature Program

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A spooky childish tune, with Brian Cummings announcing the clip-on.

Audio Variant: On the “Feature Program” clip-on, Cummings cheerfully exclaims, “And now, our feature program!”

Availability: Seen on the 2001 VHS tapes of Winnie the Pooh: Boo to You Too and Frankenpooh as well as Rolie Polie Olie: A Spookie Ookie Halloween.

Editor's Note: The appearances of the Halloween creatures have surprised a few. The style of the clip-ons also make them hard to read.

October 30-November 6, 2001 (Walt Disney Home Entertainment)[]

Nickname: "Holiday 2001"

Visuals: Depends on the clip-ons described below.

  • Coming This Holiday Season: A picture suddenly bounces down from the top of the screen into view. We see the tree lighting animation from the opening of Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas. The golden words "Coming This Holiday Season" fade in in the center on the bottom of the clip.
  • Now Available to Own: Starts off the same as the previous one, except it features a zoom-out from a giant cartoon television bordered with fancy pillars and a Christmas decoration featuring a yellow streamer and a red bow that turns and draws into a yellow Mickey head and then shines brightly and outward. The TV screen flashes the yellow words "Merry Christmas" and then disappears and the red words "Now Available To Own" appear.
  • Feature Program: We see a Mickey Mouse-shaped Christmas wreath on a red background, where we see the text "FEATURE PROGRAM", in the Biondi font, zoom in. After the words zoom in, Tinker Bell (from Disney's Peter Pan), dressed up in red clothing, flies up, hovering a bit, waving her magic wand. Then a bright flash appears and clears the screen, and all that's left is a black screen.

Technique: Computer animation, with Tinker Bell using traditional cel animation.

Audio: A jazzy holiday tune with Brian Cummings cheerfully saying the following lines.

  • Coming This Holiday Season/Now Available to Own: "There’s special holiday fun and excitement coming/now on your way on Disney DVD and video!."
  • Feature Program: “And now, our feature program!”

Availability: Seen on Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street, Disney's Sing Along Songs: The Twelve Days of Christmas and Rolie Polie Olie: A Jingle Jangle Holiday. The "Coming This Holiday Season" clip-on also appears on The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the demo version of Rolie Polie Olie: A Spookie Ookie Halloween, which otherwise have the below bumpers. The "Feature Program" clip-on only appears on Disney's Sing Along Songs: The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Editor's Note: These clip-ons are noteworthy for their Christmas-themed color schemes that work perfectly for the winter holiday season.

2000–March 22, 2005 (Playhouse Disney) (Walt Disney Pictures/Walt Disney Home Entertainment)[]

Visuals: On an orange, red, pink, blue, indigo, green, or yellow background, we see one of the following clip-ons in a childish font transition onto the screen.

Clip-ons:

  • Coming Soon to Theaters
  • Coming Soon to Own on Video and DVD
  • Now Available to Own on Video & DVD
  • Coming Soon to Own on Video
  • Coming Soon to Own on DVD (same as its "Filmreel" package; seen only on Winnie the Pooh: ABCs and 123s)
  • Now Available to Own on Video
  • Here's What's New (seen only on the 2000 VHS screener of Meet Rolie Polie Olie)
  • Join Us After the Program
  • Feature Program
  • Feature Presentation

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A whimsical woodwind jingle (excerpted from "Spooks Come Out to Play," a piece by Adele Patricia Frodsham from the Sound Stage Music Library), with Brian Cummings announcing the clip-on.

Audio Variants:

  • On the "Here's What's New" variant, Cummings says, "Rolie Polie Olie is coming right up, but first, take a look at what's new from Buena Vista Home Entertainment!" It still uses the same music as the other variants.
  • On the “Join Us After the Program” variant, Cummings says, “Join us after the program for more excitement from Disney!”
  • On the “Feature Presentation” variant, Cummings cheerfully exclaims, “And now, our feature presentation!”
  • On the “Feature Program” variant, Cummings cheerfully exclaims, “And now, our feature program!”
  • On the "Now Available to Own on Video & DVD" variant, Cummings says the text enthusiastically. This voiceover variant replaced his original tone of voice on post-2001 DVDs with the standard filmreel version of the clip-on.
  • On some appearances of the "…To Own On Video" variants, Cummings says the text more cheerfully.

Availability: Common, since it was used in tandem with the 1999 IDs. Seen on children's VHS tapes from Disney, such as Playhouse Disney videos (JoJo's Circus: "Take a Bow" and "Animal a Go Go" being the last releases with this bumper), Very Merry Christmas: Sing Along Songs, Disney's Sing Along Songs: The Twelve Days of Christmas and the 2001 VHS reissue of The World of Eric Carle.

  • The "Feature Presentation" variant is very rare, since it was used in tandem with the 1999 and 2001 FP bumpers, but it appears on seven tapes: The Book of Pooh: "A Valentine for Eeyore", the 2002 reissue of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year, Winnie the Pooh: Un-Valentine's Day, Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo, Rolie Polie Olie: The Baby Bot Chase and Very Merry Christmas: Sing Along Songs.
  • The "Join Us After the Program" variant appears on The Book of Pooh volumes "Fun with Words" and "Fun with Friends", the 2001 reissue of The World of Eric Carle, and Winnie the Pooh: ABCs and 123s.

Editor's Note: This bumper set looks cute.

  • For the "Feature Presentation" variant, the background seems to be recycled from the "Feature Program" bumper, albeit brighter.

April 15, 2002–February 15, 2005 (Buena Vista Home Entertainment/Miramax Home Entertainment)[]

Bumper: On a background with one of the colors from the last bumper (except for the blue one), we see animated white rectangles in the background with one of the following clip-ons appearing all over the screen, then the clip on transitions to the center of the screen and the clip-on shines, then zooms out and then in with a ripple effect.

Clip-ons:

  • Coming Soon to Theaters
  • Coming Soon to Own on Video & DVD
  • Now Available to Own on Video & DVD
  • Now Available to Own on Video
  • Now Available on CD
  • New from Disney Interactive
  • Join Us After the Program
  • Feature Program

Variants:

  • The "New from Disney Interactive" variant doesn't have the ripple effect and the words just zoom out from the center. In addition, the rectangles just shake from side to side.
  • On the “Now Available on CD” variant, the rectangles move differently.

FX/SFX: The clip-ons appearing on the screen and the rectangles moving.

Music/Sounds: A funktronica/electro hip-hop jingle with Brian Cummings announcing the clip-on. Much like the other customized bumpers released in the late 1990s-early 2000s, most of these voiceovers were mainly used in the 1999-2010 bumpers.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On the "Now Available on CD" variant, it uses a different theme with a piano tune at the beginning and then a hip-hop like jingle with 4 notes at the end. Cummings says, "Now available on CD from Buena Vista Records."
  • The "New from Disney Interactive" variant has a jingle that features a similar beginning to the regular theme, but is otherwise rearranged.
  • On the "Feature Program" variant, Cummings cheerfully exclaims, "And now, our feature program!"
  • On the "Join Us After the Program" variant, Cummings says, "Be sure to join us after the feature for more fun and excitement!"

Availability: Fairly common, just like the previous IDs, it was used in tandem with the 1999 IDs. Seen on multiple Buena Vista Home Entertainment and Miramax Home Entertainment VHS releases aimed at teenagers such as Pokémon movies from Pokémon 4Ever to Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys, most releases of Marvel cartoons such as the episode compilation videos of Spider-Man: The Animated Series (except The Return of the Green Goblin and Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock, which use the standard filmreel bumpers instead) and X-Men: The Legend of Wolverine, Digimon; Revenge of the Digital World, Power Rangers: Red Alert, and Power Rangers episodes from the time period after Buena Vista Home Entertainment took over the distribution rights for Marvel Animation and Saban Entertainment programming from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

  • The "Now Available on CD" and "New from Disney Interactive" variants can be seen on Power Rangers Wild Force: Lion Heart, while the latter can also be seen on Digimon: Revenge of the Digital World.
  • The "Join Us After the Program" variant can be seen on the screener tape of Pokémon Heroes (weirdly, it also uses the 1999-2006 FP bumper) and the 2004 VHS releases of Power Rangers Dino Thunder: Day of the Dino and Pokémon: Jirachi Wish Maker.
  • These bumpers do not appear on their DVD counterparts nor on the 2002-05 VHS releases of Spider-Man: The Return of the Green Goblin, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock, and Power Rangers S.P.D. episodes, since they use the standard filmreel IDs instead.

Editor's Note: While the flashiness of the bumper may get to some, especially those who usually expect the 1999-2006 bumpers, the music sounds very enjoyable to hear and the background looks appealing to look at. These also have a similar feel to the 2005-2020 bumpers as they include multiple color schemes.

July 6, 2004 (Walt Disney Home Entertainment)[]
